A Study on the Kind of Prosthodontic appiances and the restoration of tooth according to tooth loss

Abstract
The author analyzed the kind of prosthodontic appliances and the distribution of restored
teeth according to tooth loss in the 1606 prosthodontic patients(male 577, female 1029). All patients ages ranged from 17 to 84 years old. ¢¥l he results were as follows :
1) There were more women than men among the prosthodontic patients.
2) The 86.3% of total prosthodontic patients were crown and bridge patients, and the 57. 1% of crown and bridge patients were from 20s to 30s years old.
3) The more 60% of partial and complete denture patients were from 50s to 60s years old.
4) In the distribution of restored teeth, the central incisor of upper arch and the first molaz of lower arch were restored higher than any other tooth in each arch.
5) The kind of retainer in premolars were gold ally cast crown and poceain fused to metal crown, but of both, gold alloy cast crown was employed higher than porcelain fused to metal crown in the restoration of the loss teech.
